Impact of digestates on the biological quality of agricultural soils



Agronomic use of digestates is an important mechanism for the agroecological transition because it allows decreasing synthetic agricultural inputs. Nevertheless, scientific data from research to determine whether digestate inputs could modify soil biology are lacking. The aim of the METHA-BIOSOL project (CasDAR/ADEME/GRDF, 2021-2023) is to provide scientific answers to this issue.

The main objective of the METHA-BIOSOL project is thus to help farmers evaluate impacts of digestate spreading on soil biological quality using operational tools such as bio-indicators.
