Current research topics

My research topics concern the methods and processes to assess and design sustainable livestock systems, with a specific focus on the environment, and a particular application to aquaculture. To do so, I use and adapt environmental assessment methods, especially Life Cycle Assessment. I adapt and develop concepts of ecological intensification and ecosystem services to the aquaculture sector. In particular, I design, monitor and assess Integrated Muti-Trophic Aquaculture systems.

  • Ichtyoserv: Multi-species animal production in RAS aquariums under several combinations (Métaprogramme INRAE “Ecoserv”, 2018-2020)

Consulting experience

I head the MEANS platform for multicriteria assessment of agricultural products. It was developed jointly by INRAE and CIRAD, and provides tools and databases to assess the sustainability of agri-food products. In particular, the MEANS-InOut software allows users to create Life Cycle Inventories of agricultural products. This tool is used to update the agricultural products in the French national database AGRIBALYSE.
