About the AT Internet audience measurement tool :

AT Internet's audience measurement tool Analytics is deployed on this site in order to obtain information on visitors' navigation and to improve its use.

During my PhD in Microbiology, my thesis topic was a bacterium used in food, Lactobacillus helveticus, which is a key starter for ripening Swiss type cheese. After a 7-year period in the biotech industry, I returned to my first love, namely public research.

On a personal level:

• I love to share my skills and expertise
• I like cheese with a glass of wine!
• I do not like waste
• I hate the idea of losing a resource irremediably
• I do not like the idea of monopoly
• I am firmly convinced that the world around us is a huge reservoir of biodiversity, wealth for the future, guarantying development and continuous being renewal, a source of endless innovation.

It then comes as no surprise that I am responsible for the CIRM-BIA, a Biological Resource Centre (BRC) fully dedicated to food bacteria. For the past three years, the rationale for this national BRC has been to collect, characterise and preserve the bacteria, to make them accessible to the entire scientific community as well as the industry, to explore their biodiversity for innovation, and… to share all this knowledge with you!
